This service is available to commercial cafes and business only. Greater Auckland area only. Perfect for Cafes, Bakerys, Restaurants, Offices, Sports Venues Etc.
It is suitable for Cafes or coffee retailers who wish to improve their cup quality and volume
This service can involve as many or as little staff as you want. The service takes around 90-120 minutes and in that time I provide:
Barista Training - Upskill your baristas and FOH staff
- Milk frothing
- Shot pulling
- Cup pouring
- Cleaning & maintenance
Grinder & Dose adjustment - Dial in your grinder for optimum espresso shots
- Set grinder dose amount
- Set grind size
- Set Shot dose
- Knowing when to adjust and how
- Knowing why grinder needs to be adjusted
Coffee Consulting - I share my ideas and tips on:
- Industry standards from past and present
- Increasing cup volume
- Ideas to create atmosphere
- How to Improve and encourage customer service
- Menu ideas and optimization
- Upselling and cross selling
- Waste reduction & sustainability
At the same time I can also provide basic machine servicing including :
- Head seal and screen replacements
- Grinder burr replacement
- Water filter replacement
HOW TO BOOK
Available Monday - Friday, schedule depending. I am flexible!
To book this service, purchase the correct package for your area. We will then contact you within 24 hours to arrange a time.
Please note that not all times are available, but we can work with you to suit your schedule.
Cost is $300 + travel, depending on the area. I am located near Silverdale.
- $50 North Harbour & Rodney (Warkworth - Devonport)
- $80 Auckland Central (CBD, Epsom, Mt Wellington)
- $80 West Auckland (Massey, Henderson, New Lynn)
- $100 South Auckland (Manukau, Howick and Papakura)

What if I don't want cafe consulting, just barista training?
No problem, I can focus on what ever area you want in the time on site.

Can you service our equipment too?
Yes I can replace head seals and screens, grinder burrs and water filters at the same time!

Can you stay for longer?
If needed I can stay to teach for longer. This will be charged after the training at $75+gst per hour.

I am out of Auckland area, can you help out?
I do travel to places like Whangarei and Hamilton for training. This is possible but can cost more in travel. Please contact us.

How is this different to the regular Coffee Training class in Devonport?
The training class is more of a high energy workshop focused on pouring cups of coffee, more suited to absolute beginners. The Commercial Training Service is more focused on improving your current setup and is tailored to your specific business.
